    Hello dear couponers,

    So I worte to SDM regarding the worng entering of my codes and of course this affecting to get my 20x points .. so this is the answer I recived from the costumer rep. (starts from the bottom)

    Thank you for your response.

    But according to Shopper facebook page and the person responsable on aswering facebook messages through the pag is had been stated that the 20x points will be awarded if you reach $50.00 before coupons, as long as the coupon codes are entered correcly (which in this case it wasn't), as code 2002 is used for FREE products (which none of my coupons were fo a FREE product), and this code will deduct the whole tax amount that will be paid by the manufacturer. Code 2001 will discount only the amount on the coupon and tax will be charge on the FULL amount of the product (as well this is stated on the CRA website in how to handle coupons).

    How I said, this is the 1st time this had happend to me and I always shop there on the 20x points event and always spend $50.00 before coupons and I usually pay Less than $50.00 and still get my points as long as the codes are entered correcly.

    I was very disaponted to be honest but I'm sure this will be a store I will not be shopping at anymore ..

    My way of approaching this was that with 2002 I don't get the base points.
    And they admit you get base points with 2001.
    While head office will give you the base points the best option is to go back to the store the day of
    and have them ring it back in using the proper code. The cash register will end up giving you the 20x points.

    Well I'm sorry you didn't get the points I'm not surprised.
    Headoffice has always maintained you must spend the $50 oop.
    The facebook below $50 was over 4 months ago and quickly retracted.

    The store refused complelty when I asked them to re-ring it .. because the coupons were alredy on the sytems

    What a sucky situation for you, sorry you had to go through this. I was overcharged $13 in extra scanned items on the last 20xday. I will now be watching them like a hawk, we all should! Make sure they enter 2001!

    My store had no problem with re-ringing everything in again. Took a little while but I don't have a problem waiting IN THE EVENT THAT I'M SAVING $.(or gaining points)

    There is a local store near me where they ring in all coupons as 2002 on 20x days, I questioned them about it and they said the manager said he would rather eat the tax than deal with the issues (although IMO it causes more issues)

    Sounds like they know you won't get the points for 2002 and the owern is cheap and doesn't want to pay out the points.
    Since store owners do pay for a portion of the points given from the store....

    I see that .. the only thing the store has made do is STOP shopping there, so I rather drive down the st for a bigger one and a better service !

    Glad you got some points out of it even though we all know that you were entitled to to more. I wish stores understood that great customer service = more sales. It's their loss in the end!

    Wow, that is not great! Find a new store & friendly staff...they should have did your transaction over again imo!!
