Thanks for the rant OP. Those loss prevention people really earn their salary sometimes.

These kinds of people make all the coupeners look bad...
When I went to Walmart to get Ziploc bags wiht $4 coupons in them, most of the ziploc bags were open. I didn't look inside them but I'm sure the coupons were gone from those productsJOIN SWAGBUCKS AND START EARNING

How will she explain this to her family/coworkers/friends? I wonder what it'll cost her in lawyer's fees.
Amazing that people would think it's okay to destroy products like that in order to take the coupons!

thanks amanda for sharing!!! i can't believe this happened here. people make me laugh, lets go to jail to save a few bucks. I remember a woman in the states got arrested for stealing all the coupons out of the papers.
On another note, I once saw a guy at walmart tear open a package of blades to inspect... i just watched him for a few minutes. I walked away but saw him not long after with blades in his hand but it looked like a fresh package.
If people rip the packages open all the time, the prices are gonna go up like crazy!!

Was just in my local walmart this afternoon......was cruising to see if there were any unadvertised sales, and about half the pampers boxes were ripped at the handles, and ALL the cottonelle single containers looked like they were opened, all the security tape was tucked up under. Jesus people.
gone shopping!

Thanks for posting this!!! I'm very happy something is finally being done about this... But as for the always/tampax coupons, mine were printed directly on the box (3 coupons, one on each side), are you sure you just didn't see them?

they were not the radiant ones. Mine were printed on the box too. The regualr kind. the ones with the crest 3D white strips, and secret clinical and I can`t remember the other one. They are printed on the instructions. i have got 1 from a box. that`s the kind she was taking.

WOW...glad she was caught. But it makes me wonder what the penalty is for stealing coupons? Likely not very steep, knowing Canada's laws, unfortunately.
I love the Swagbucks FREE Amazon gift cards: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/breylormom

Unbelievable. I'm so glad to hear she was caught! I wish other coupon thieves would take a lesson from that, the cops have more urgent things to attend to (unfortunately) and when the cost of loss prevention goes up, so do prices...ugh.

I dunno why this shocks me (as ppl will do anything to save a buck!), but as someone pointed out...a criminal record for a couple of dollars?? I work in finance and we always joke if we were gonna do something...it would be WORTH it. So sad really.....

Glad they caught her! I hate that when people open a product just for the coupons! Good! I am happy she got caught!
