Patty. you always make me smile. LOL. You are just to darn funny. Still haven't caught on to the fact that I should NOT be drinking coffee when I read your posts.
Your pictures are just beautiful. Just love how you decorated the room. Bet she just loves it. One talented Mom

Lynn, if you despize those 2 UGLY wardrobe thingy's, turf them. You will never be happy with the room if you don't. Maybe try and sell them, get some bucks to buy your paint. I know what you mean about the colours. My bedroom has 1 wall a greyish purple (more purple), the other 3 walls a nice grey. My bathroom is a really nice grey/turquoise colour. The livingroom/kitchen (one long wall) is turquoise, along with the drop ceiling in the kitchen, the other walls are all a grey/brown/taupe colour (it's hard to explain) but it pulls all the colours from the backsplash and countertop together with the grey throughout the condo.
I'm really pleased with the way things are turning out. I got rid of the HUGE cabinet that acted as extra storage for my kitchen stuff today. I'm so happy. Now, I'm going to try and purchase some sort of fireplace tv stand combo for that wall, purchase a new chair and side table for the livingroom and I'm done And it's been a long time coming! We all need a little sunshine every now and then

I love the girls room. I have two. You may have just inspired me to get some paint out.
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

Oh, Holly, I would turf the darn things, but they hold most of my clothes! We downsized from a 3600 sq ft of living space home (which we sold to our DD), and bought her semi, which she had decorated so tastefully...its really quite nice. But the bedrooms are so small...not like the 20x20 that we had there with a walk-in closet, so I'm really doomed to have those crappy things in there. Otherwise, if I use some sort of closet system like we had in our walk-in, our dressing-room would look like we're dressing in a closet and that's also where I do my make-up and hair.
Hm.
Now I'm thinking........if I do my make-up and hair in the bathroom like I did in our other house, then that can be completely turned into a walk-in closet!
My head is swimming with possibilities now!!!
I must rest and think.
Tomorrow.
Thanks for the slap upside the head, Hon!!

Well dh patched our kitchen ceiling , then popcorned it. Not a fan of popcorn but it was patch it or scrape off the entire kitchen, dining area and a corridor. (And probably find out the ceiling isn'T level and have a whole other job on our hands!)
Of course now the ceiling has to be painted.
But when that'S done i can then think about doing something with my cabinets, kitchen floor and maybe a backsplash!
At the rate we're going, we'll still be doing this next year, lolCome on -Join me ! Get Points, get Free stuff

We caulked the bathtub! It was an instant makeover, getting rid of the old dirty caulk that was peeling out of the wall and putting on bright shiny stuff. It looks and functions much better AND I don't have to fret about water leaking between the walls to the floors below.
There's only one spot I have to touch up, but otherwise, it looks like our tub is outlined in a neat, gleaming white, shiny line. Pretty good for my first time at attempting it, I thought! Next time, I'll do even better!
