That was pretty stupid, and yes beer was involved.

I hate houseflies, who doesn't? They just began arriving here the last few days and I've been hunting them with my pellet handgun. Got a few too. The cats got more. Anyway, this pellet gun is practically a toy, just 400fps. Stings a bit on bare skin, but that's it. Couldn't take out a squirrel with it, I don't think, but it wrecks houseflies but good. So one lands on my LED monitor and I pop it thinking it doesn't have enough power to damage the screen. It did.

Housefly parts everywhere and half a dozen multicolored lines are running up from the top to the bottom of the monitor where I injured it.



Fly is dead though!

Good news! I was gathering some bread/buns off the top of the fridge to put in the composter and I found our flyswatter up there! I think I'll use that in the future.
