I'm looking for a reputable farmer (Peel, halton area) that sells animals for consumption. We are looking to eat more organically, support local farmers and cut down on our cost of meet.
Does anyone know how much per pound it would be to buy whole animals and have them butchered? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

We buy half a cow once a year and it costs about 2.50/lb cut and wrapped. It's the same price for hamburger as sirloin steaks and roasts, all organic hormone free. I'm not sur what others pay but I'm extremely happy with the quality and flavour.
hope you find someone local!
