NOT a good system, go take a look at their bidding price and rules and you will see.
NOT recommended. JMHO

it is expensive to start and then there is processing and s/h charges for each item. i saw a news report on it where a person actually bid and everything and there wasnt much difference then just getting it on sale. the news reporter only had 15-25 % savings after all the charges.

I have bid on there and have got movie tickets for .60c and $20.00 gift cards for $2ish plus if you enter/pay the wins at the same time you only pay 1 shipping amount.
I have won straighting irons for .60c..and the only money I put in was the first $60...you can see my winnings inmy signature...and there are other sc'ers who have won also as if we happen to be on at the same time we don't bid against each other LOL
I say .60c as each .1 cent you arebidding is actually .60c...not 1 penny like they say...Last edited by Jezebel; Sat, Feb 25th, 2012 at 02:38 PM.

I read some reviews online on different sites and people said that when they won something the item wouldn't ship or they would be notified that it is no longer available and instead of refunding the bidding money they give you more bids....

We had a great experience with them! My mom decided to try them out one day so she watched the site for about a week to get a feel for how things work. She ended up winning a $500 set of pots and pans for $25 including bids and shipping and a $50 popcorn maker for $8.20! She did amazing.
It's easy to see why people get angry with the site. You're paying for the privilege of bidding. People don't seem to understand that every bid costs you money and doesn't guarantee you'll get the item, nor do you get the money spent on bids back if you don't win the item.
We had absolutely no problems with them at all. The items mom won came quickly, packed really well and were very high quality. Mom was lucky with her bids, but it also takes a lot of skill to do.
If you're patient and don't mind potentially losing some money trying, it's worth a shot! We're trying to get another set of the pots and pans for our cabin.

Jezzy with the items you did win how much did you spend on the bids themselves?

I paid the start up bid pack of $60 for 100 bids and as you bid you earn bids also...once my start money is gone I won't buy more bids as they cost more than the start up pkge...plus those who are using the starter bids actually see a screen that is a tad different than the experienced bidders ..they talked about this on facebook so it gives beginners a better chance at winning ..and I guess making you feel lucky so you buy more bids......I watched for awhile to see who was bidding and how aggressivly they are bidding before choosing what to bid on ..I also won a coby tablet...all my items came as promised ect for 1 item ..a gift card was out of stock so they offered me a choice of other cards plus gave me 25 bids...

It is too bad you need a credit card to get started, I think I would be willing to give it a try if I could buy in with my paypal

I am thinking of picking one up. Watching how it works right now. I can see how it can save you tonnes of money or cost you everything if you are not smart about it.

Not sure what I think about Quibids... Idea seems decent, except that it's a never-ending final 15 seconds... Every time you or someone bids with 1 second left, it resets to 15 or 20 seconds remaining... That can go on for an hour and HUNDREDS of bids later, it's still sitting with 10 seconds left....
Meaning there's no way to be the last bidder before the clock runs out.....
Thoughts??

If you only bid on something you are willing to buy anyway...it's good, because if you don't win, you can buy the item anyway after the auction ends, applying your bids (unless they are "vouchers") to the price of the item. Then you're only out $3.00 for shipping...not a bad risk for the chance to save a lot more.
Ex: Bid 20 times (12.00) on a $50 Superstore card...either you win and you get it for 12+3 = $15, or you lose and pay $53 for a $50 card
