Thread: Metro ON: $0.50 Olymel Wieners (seriously, they can't call them hotdogs?)

    I noticed that Metro had the Olymel Wieners for $1.50 from their flyer and I had just gone through all of my coupons - getting rid of expired, cutting out printable coups, re-organizing the binder etc. etc...well I cut out 4 Olymel Coupons that were attached together (can't remember where they are from, maybe inside the box?) and one had Save $0.50 'Olymel Wieners' (12pk) When I went to Metro, I noticed there was a $0.50 peelie on the Wieners themselves...

    PLUS 2 AirMiles WUB2

    12 Wieners for $0.50
    X4 Packs
    = 48 Wieners for under $2 + 4AM!!

    Great deal!!! I got some to very surprise they had peelies on them. I brought my neighbour, just for the ride. She says "seriously your buy 10 packs?" OH YEAH !!!!! $0.50 a pack can go wrong, they better taste half decent.

    do they taste good? I usually just buy red hots so I am always a little leary when buying different weiners

    Scrappy - I haven't tasted them yet, but I have really enjoyed the boxes on boxes of Olymel we've been getting so I am not too concerned that it will taste bad...although they aren't flavoured or jumbo or beef...just plain old wieners!

    I am almost 100% sure they came from a box of the Olymel nuggets or chicken strips or wings...

    Wait a second. I'm so confused. Two different SC members who both live in Ontario were allowed to use the peelie AND the MFR coupon for one package? Isn't this stacking? I thought we weren't allowed to do this.

    I went in with ONE coupon, and the girl gave me both....I don't know if it's 'stacking' - in the sense that we are familiar with it - if there is a peelie on it; sort of like when there is a 50% reduced sticker and we have a coupon...
