Rona staff, SCOP, and a free shelf!
I had 45 min till closing to grab all the boards I need for book shelves in my kids bedrooms, so I almost forgot to take note of all the prices! It's a good thing I went back to check, because all 4 items (3 different bar codes) rang up higher at the till!
The cashier (who's been there for 7 years) was willing to lower to the "correct" price, but wasn't doing the SCOP. A guy at the service desk had heard of something like it, but wasn't willing to do "free", but he'd "do me a favor by knocking 10% off the lower price". Not happy, but I was in a hurry, so I paid the $20.
Headoffice was surprised to hear not only that all the items scanned wrong, but that none of the staff was "trained" to do SCOP, nor did any of the tills have the SCOP paper anywhere in sight. They are dealing with the issue, and I should hear back from the store in a few days regarding a refund on 3 of the items. If I don't, I'm calling the SCOP complaint line.
