If it's a yahoo group (my local freecycle is) then log into your yahoo account and change the settings. I have mine set so that I dont get any of the e-mails and instead I log in every once in awhile & just check the posts.

When I was a member of freecycle, it was a yahoo group, so you used to have a yahoo email account to join.
Sorry you are having trouble, perhaps post a message there explaining it, so a mod might see it that way.
A year or two (?) ago when freecycle was taken over, most of those of us in our city who were members formed our own group, because we didn't like their new privacy policies, etc.

I'm not sure how you can cancel your account. (other than what was already mentioned).
Have you tried scrolling to the bottom of one of the emails you recieve - Possibly there will be a link in all the mumble-jumble.
An idea, if you are still wanting to be on freecycle but without all the annoying emails in your normal email. You could set up a "freecycle" email address. (only rec freecycle emails - thats what I do.)
Another thought is that you could create a freecycle folder in your inbox..
Hope this helps!I've set up 3 trains.Still loading. If you are interested, links are on my userpage.
No, this isn't your coffee, I had a two for one coupon!
