Oh yes. They are really yummy, but usually way too expensive. So, I only buy one once a year or so.

They sell them frozen as well in the store at a lesser cost.

But it's still expensive, you have to cook it and it's never the same thing.

How big are these? We usually buy the ones from Maxi, I think 6 for $2.

And if you buy 6 or more, should be no tax?

These are full butter... much better than the regular stuff from the grocery store usually. Metro has "Les Irresistibles" croissants that are full butter, but they are quite expensive as well (something like 3 for 3.99). And no, they don't charge taxes when you buy 6 (same thing with the individual desserts, which means the 6th one is almost free)

Yeah, Annie, it's true, never the same when you make it at home LOL

Some places for great croissants at various price points: Mamie Clafoutis on Van Horne, Kouign Amman on Mont-Royal and Monsieur Pinchot, a tiny, tiny bakery on Marie-Anne East.

Figure if I'm going to eat a croissant, might as well make it worthwhile and eat one with real butter

Merci, Annie. Ok, there goes the diet

Will these freeze well? (if they are around long enough!)
