    Not as good as the last week croissants deal, but with long week-end coming, could be not bad if you plan to buy a cake anyway.

    I know!!! All that talk about bakeries in the other thread made me go to Mamie on Saturday. We bought a full size almond and pistachio tart (gone by the next morning LOL), some cherry clafoutis for me (gone the same day ), raspberry-choco roll (eaten in car! ), Oh mon dieu (for DH, bye bye in the car LOL)...

    See a pattern here? 80% of the stuff was eaten within an hour of buying!

    Annie, wasn't sure if what I saw was a pistachio square...I've seen them every time but since they are usually on the top of the counter (and not inside), there is no sign so I am not sure if that's it? It looks very moist, with some pistachio but also looked like there was some red in it?? Is that the one?

    Ugh, note to self, stay away from these threads
