My sobeys has hamburger helper on for .99! Most of the packages still have the save 3.00 coupon so it was a great time for me to get some ground beef.
I got,
3x hamburger helper = 2.97
3x packs ground beef = 10.48 -9.00 = 1.48!
Grand total 4.45 plus tax!
I plan on going back with my new coupons and getting more before the sale is over.

I guess I should have read this before I went shopping today. I went to EF for the extra lean beef that was on sale for $6.57/kg. There was several packages expiring tomorrow, so I waited around the meat department until I saw a staff member and I asked if she would mark it down since it was expiring. She was nice enough and marked them down another 30% ($4.60/kg). An extra $3 off would have been nice, but I'll just tell myself that I'm sure there was no peelies at EF to make myself feel better.
