Thread: Umm.. someone stole our garden..

..yeah.
Went up to the cottage today to see all my beautiful flowers and bushes.. gone. I planted them two years ago, some peonies, hostas, and some other bushes that had bright pink flowers. They were growing real nice and the peonies were going to bloom soon. The hostas were real big and ready to be split. Well someone decided to just steal the whole garden. I don't get people. I could understand if I was growing food or something and they were desperate for food, but these were plants that just gave aesthetic value. This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Snow Queen; Wed, Jun 6th, 2012 at 10:13 PM.

I would be more than happy to send you small baby roots to start you cheap. I got like about ten kinds of Hostas. I often trade plants by mail with other plant fanatics..
Just let me know if you want some and i'll send you some..free of coarse..

It's terrible the property line doesn't make realize some people don't take stuff. Now you need an electrified fence to guard your stuff.

Just rude. So sorry that you had to see that once you drove up there. I think the worst part is not knowing who did it. That would bug me.

That's terrible. It happened to my parents as well. Both of them drove 20 minutes away every week to plant and tend to vegetables they were growing in a plot of land they bought in a little town. When they thought the vegetables were ready, they drove back to find someone had been watching their garden as well. It was all ripped up and every vegetable was gone. The only bits left had been ripped up to dry out in the sun.
Not only did they lose out on an entire summer of work, a fall season of savings, but it was knowing that one of their neighbours had been watching, and deliberately did it that was the most hurtful part. It was in an area that would have had to be driven to, so these people would have had to buy gas to put in their car.
My sister also had flowers stolen out of her front yard. Someone just took a scissors to them and clipped all her roses and flowers, leaving her with the stems. Food or not, people truly stink sometimes.Last edited by sweet sparrow; Thu, Jun 7th, 2012 at 08:22 AM.
