ok, i made a fondant cake for DH's birthday party tomorrow - now that its on the cake, do i refrigerate it? keep it on the counter? somewhere in the basement cool and dry??

sorry I realise this is too late but for the future.... I usually keep fondant covered cakes in a cool dry place if it's only going to be for a day or so... otherwise I think they are okay to go in the fridge but depending on what temp you keep it at you might want to let it sit at room temp for a little bit before cutting/slicing

I read this last week, and I realized it was way to late to respond as well. I never apply fondant to a cake until the day I'm setting it up to be served. I just don't want to take a chance of all my hard work going down the drain if someone touches it with oily fingers or it dries out to much and starts to crack.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then
