Just got the new Sunlight Pacs $3.50 doorhanger. (UPC 72613610) EX Sept 30, 2012
Fine print reads:
"In no event will coupon value exceed the lesser price of product on shelf or $3.50."
In many ways, I am glad. maybe it means other companies will follow, and this business of ALL the coupons and travel size item disappearing will end.
so in this case the product has to be $3.50 or more...? I guess is a good thing so no more coupon clearing and no more ebay selling!!
No, it means if it's on sale for $2.50, you will not get the $1 overage, they will adjust the coupon down to $2.50.

I don't think cashiers make up their own rules and think it is rude to lump them all together. To op I think it is great to see maybe we can actually find products when they go on sale lol
I think it depends on how you read it - I get what they are trying to do however
how is the company gonna know what the store is selling it for??
- I know a ton of cashiers that would still just ring it in as $3.50 off unless there is a spot for the cashier to write in the price (kinda like a fpc)
plus I highly doubt you will find the sunlight pacs cheaper than $3.50 anyways
Yes, there is a spot to write in the price, like an FPC. I forgot to mention that! I would scan the thing, but my scanner is being a real cow right now, and won't scan anything.Quote:

No overages sounds like a great rule....for the owner.
Yeah but if it's like an FPC wher eyou have to write in the price, then one can only assume that just like an FPC they will only get back the amount stated on the coupon. So no... the owner isn't benefiting at all, they will only get back what they sold it for.
