I have to go for a 3rd back surgery

For those that do not know, I have had 2 back surgeries in the past. I had the first in October 07 and then had complications and had the second one to fix the complications in August 2008. It has been quite a bumpy road with other complications that I have needed spinal injections for pain and other stuff. Recovery has been slow but things have progressed none the less. I am still unable to work due to the pain I deal with on a daily basis. But I have continued to try find a way to make money as well.
On Monday I was dealt another proverbial wrench into my life or a curveball and the left rod in my back that holds my spine straight broke. This was extremely painful but I didn't find out it broke until Tuesday when I went to the emergency room. The pain was so bad by then that it hurt to breathe because when my back moves just a little bit it causes pain. They took xrays and saw the rod broke about half way down my back. I need a third surgery now to fix it but the earliest I will be able to get in for surgery is late next week. so in the mean time I am severely limited to what I can do due to pain. I have a new bump where the rod broke because hte one end is sticking out a little. I joke that one morning I might wake up with it protruding through my skin. lol but I am told the screws are holding it still that it won't cause any further damage-just a lot of pain.
So I am just asking for prayers or happy thoughts or what ever you may offer that this can be dealt with as quickly as possible. I am realizing I will have to go through the months of recovery and rehab all over again that I had hoped was all over. I will be back to needing help with everything again and I hate that. but hopefully this will be the last time and there hopefully will not be a 4th surgery needed. I hope that it will all be relatively easy to go through since it is my third time going through it. :) thanks for reading through this and your prayers or good happy thoughts. :)


*** Update*** The surgery is now scheduled for Thursday May 31

Oh, deals, so sorry you have to go through all of this... my thoughts and prayers are definitely with you; I have been thinking of you often and wondering how you have been doing - especially now with spring planting!

Thanks Natalka. I had started some wave petunias but now hopefully my family will be able to care for them since I am unable to now. thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. :)

Oh, Deals, I'm so sorry to hear about one more surgery for you...and the pain you're having to endure.
