Yes you read that correctly! FREE FRUIT in Winnipeg!
I posted about this organization last fall, and just wanted to remind Winnipeggers about them again as it is gardening season (aka summer) again finally! YAY!
This organization brings togther, fruit owners with extra fruit, with those who want fruit. They aslo share a portion with community organizations. What a deal. Is there a catch, somewhat those who want the fruit volunteer to pick it, pretty good deal.
My post is here: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/238139-fruit-share-canada/

It depends on what you are picking Rhubarb for example doesn't take long maybe 15 mins. Apples would take a bit longer. I have yet to sign up for a pick myself as I was busy last year. And yes once you sign up they send out emails to let you know whats available for picking and what areas.
The most serious gardening I do would seem very strange to an onlooker, for it involves hours of walking round in circles, apparently doing nothing." --Helen Dillon
