@Ciel thanks for starting the April thread, we are off to my parents today for Easter dinner, I am hoping for cheap gas this week as I am driving back mid week to spend the day in the hospital with my mom as my dad has knee surgery scheduled.
For any of you that have a Starbucks reward card I just noticed the birthday freebie is only good on your actual birthday. This is not great for people that don't have one close or happen to be busy that day.
Yesterday I bravely went to No frills to buy the chicken as DH had an offer and it was a great price. I managed to spend over 100.00 so in the end I earned 31000 points. So it was worth the chaos.
    Happy Easter everyone.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good morning! I debated taking today off from work but glad I came into the office. A very quiet day and I plan to clean my office and send a bunch of old stuff to storage. Never seem to have time for that so today is perfect.
I treated myself to a Timmies coffee on the way in and drove right up to order so quiet everywhere.
I made a quick salad and added a chicken skewer for my lunch today.

Yes the long weekend was nice. Youngest DS had 3 friends sleepover Thursday night. I needed to go to the casino to pick up free tickets that I was selling Friday morning so I asked them if they wanted to go for breakfast there and they all wanted to go. They all enjoyed it so much and I used $73 in free comps so free breakfast for the 5 of us. They were still eating and I had to wait 30 mins to get the tickets so I went in the casino to spend the free $75 Slot play they put on my card. Made $51.36 and took that with me. And then I sold the 4 free tickets for $180.00 So lots of free cash in my wallet for the next 2 weeks and the best part was treating my son and his friends to a nice meal out (I would have loved that as a kid and they did. No more kid menus for those big boys!)
Tonight I need to run the dishwasher ( I should have last night) Clean out the fridge (garbage day tomorrow) and finish up the laundry.
Saturday I had to take my mom out for a pedicure and we grabbed a few groceries. So we went to No Frills and I grabbed 3 of the roasts on sale for the freezer (my beef roasts supply is low) a few bars of cheese and a few other things for a total of $50.56 and used $50 in points and paid the balance with the free loblaws GC. I want to try and use up what we have for the rest of the week and plan the meals accordingly (I have a nice bunch of asparagus to have one night and both kids like it!)

Saw family on the weekend and filled the tank with gas for the trip the night before. It was so uncomfortable going out at 11 PM, but the gas was cheaper and I was able to complete my third air miles shop the block promotion. Visiting family costs $30 per trip and we visited DH and my parents. Even though we didn't bring food, $60 is an expensive weekend, not including groceries! Seeing my parents is always nice though and they got to see the baby up and running about. DD1 collected several new Pokemon at the park on Daddy's phone, and DD2 tortured poor Mum by crying every time she saw her.

@lilo0003: What is a Starbucks Reward card? Is that something you need to pick up in-store? My birthday is on Saturday this year, so I may be able to make it.

    @SassyAshley: Happy belated birthday!!

I must really be getting old. For my birthday this year, I asked that DH accompany me to get a crown (or two?) on my tooth. I'm dreading the appointment.

I asked my sister to pick up some vanilla extract for me and was shocked to see that the price was $38.99 per bottle!! I thought it was closer to $6.89 a few years ago. I may pick up the 1 L bottle of artificial extract for $6.99. Now I feel especially terrible for spilling the pure extract last time I baked cookies!

Cleaned out my purse and shopping bag. March 31st coupons in the garbage.

Will go to Food Basics and buy a few more bags of Smartfood and Sunchips for the kids since that is their fav and they are on for $1.99. Will hide it and give as needed lol.

I’ve been pretty sick all weekend...trouble with my guts. I’m improving, but still glad I don’t have daycare kids until tomorrow morning. I took our kids to Walmart at 8:40 this morning, but forgot my cell phone at home. They still had lots of Easter stuff on clearance for 50% off. I picked out two small bags of good quality chocolate eggs for myself. Activia yogurt, and Pampers Easy Ups. I got $2 back from CO51. If twin boy keeps doing this good with going to the potty on his own, I don’t know how much pull-ups I’ll need to buy for him. It’ll be good when his twin sister gets on board. They were completely out of prime rib that was on sale, so I’ll have to figure out a new plan for tonight’s supper.

We are currently at the public library. I packed them snacks and water bottles. We’re exchanging library books too.

We need to do a lot of nut free baking this week. It is our son’s month to bring snacks for his entire Kindergarten class. We need to bake 7 dozen servings of something. Our son has chosen banana bread (which I have ripened and frozen bananas for) and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
