This is real. A few times a week, I check out my home city newspaper online.
RCMP Report called "Follow the Sirens" - lists calls made.
There is a list for the week including accidents, calls to homes, etc.

2:21 a.m. — Loud argument at a residence on 102nd Street, started when the complainant returned home and found her intoxicated adult son trying to fry hamburgers directly on the oven burners, which did not go over very well. 19-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicious of an assault. Investigation ongoing.
