Yep it's definitely been in the US News. Don't ask me WHY I have this screen shot but I think I took it to make a point of, "when does anything having to do with Canada take top priority on CNN"? and never posted it. *shrugs* Apparently wack jobs dismembering people is one of those times. This was from June 4 as you can see by the news date on the top and from my computer icons on the bottom right.

Beside the fact that the US media is reporting on this, why should the US be overly concerned about us? We are a different country with one-tenth the population. Do you see a whole lot of news from Denmark here in Canada? Same thing. Personally, my national pride does not rest on how much we are reported on in foreign media.

To be honest I read more coverage, more indepth/explicit coverage from US news sources than I did Canadian. Trust me, it's been covered. I also don't see why you are seemingly upset that it hasn't been "covered enough" for you in the US.

Criminy...BBC, Reuters, AF....and most of the other European media have been over this story...I've seen it on aussie, New Zealand, African TV...

The freaking Yanks are running with it...

It's out there ..in the press, on tv. online.....all around the world...in all major languages...WTF do you want???

I've seen this story on Asian networks and African networks..and the Pacific networks..

Sick. If he is behind these other murders than I'll be quite convinced he was either looking to get caught or thought he was so awesome that he wouldn't get caught but wanted to get the notoriety for the lin murder and others. Because assuming he committed up to 3 other murders (LA,Miami,Gatineau) and only now decided to upload video of a murder, it seems a bit odd. Of course it also doesn't mean he's behind any of these other murders as well.

Having his face plastered all over the world was important while he was still on the run. But at this point why would we even want this case to get lots of international media attention? "The Canadian Psycho" is not exactly our pride and joy.

All out the ordinary cases get international exposure. especially when it involves graphic violence.

People are still fascinated by the Jack The Ripper cases in London over 100 years since they were commited. In fact, you can do Ghost Walks round Soho following the gory details.

part of it is schadenfreude the rest is just the normalish human reaction of curisoity.

The internet age has made it so much easier to find these things out.I would have never discovered such things as 2girls1cup or goatse(both searches are really NSFW/NSFC..they are ...coprophilic and s3xual respectively)..

Some people get off on this stuff...
