There was a huge drug-land war in Mexico a few weeks ago, where some 50 or more bodies were found decapitated...

It might go through quite easily actually which is why I think it's super creepy. From my experience working at the PO the things that go through there you would never really know even if it smelled or had stains on it. In the spring lots of people order their gardening supplies and bulbs online and if they aren't picked up they can get quite nasty smelling sitting on a shelf in the heat for 15 days until they are returned to sender. Then there are people that send care packages to people and include food...some of those do not smell great especially when they put stuff in there that don't survive the full trip (really people use common sense when sending stuff overseas. If it wouldn't last a week on your counter don't expect it to last more then that on a trip across the world)! Plus lots of people mail things in boxes that are stained or look like they had been dragged behind them the entire way to the PO...So I could definitely see how something like that would get past the PO since a parcel doesn't usually sit in one place for too long unless it's being held for pick up.
This is just SO disturbing - and they aren't releasing info on what the second body part found is.
The second part was a hand... how lovely.
Media reports said the second package, containing a human hand, was not addressed to the Tory headquarters. Police said the major crime unit continues to investigate

Two human body parts found in Ottawa — a foot mailed to the Conservative Party of Canada headquarters and a hand found at a Canada Post terminal — were sent from the same point of origin, police have confirmed.

Thanks for the update on this story.
Some news outlets are reporting a link to the torso in Montreal while others are not. I mean the packages came from Montreal so it's not hard to assume there's probably a link but it's still just sick and sad.
Article: Severed hand and foot delivered in Ottawa now linked to torso found in Montreal
I thought they had dispelled the idea that they came from the Montreal torso...Going to look that up now.
The Ottawa Citizen says police are still looking for a connection between them

but I could've sworn CBC said that it was determined the two cases weren't related.
Well if it is linked to Montreal..there is still a head floating around somewhere!
Ugh ....this is beyond creepy!
I just read that they are all related...and there is more than just a head missing. If they found a torso, hand, and foot, they at least have a head, arms, hand, foot, and legs left to find.

Sick people out there.
