I read another news article that says he could be hiding out around Peterborough or Lindsay since he knows the areas well.
I highly doubt he actually fled the country because that means he would have had to cross a boarder and/or get on a plane.
.
i'm sure he was out of Canada before the story broke. that is sort of a given.
i bet if he was cornered he would just off himself.
I haven't heard much about the victim until today. Aparently he was a chinese student

I can't imagine what his family must be going through. Losing a child is hard enough, now this is making headlines around the world and the way he was killed.
I use to watch horror movies like Saw, Hostel etc, but you know they are special effects. This video shows the real thing. I'm curious, but for my own mental health, I'm not going to watch it. The description of the video on the website was enough to make me feel sick.
All I have to say is I hope they find this guy and fast. I am not going to say anymore. This guy is looking for attention and he is getting it from killing someone. I refuse to give any monster like that any attention by reading, writting or talking about it anymore.
This is just my 2 cents

I read the National Post article about it today...really detailed and interesting, but the whole thing is so disturbing. Murdering someone and filming it (and all the stuff that happens in the video), and a past of animal abuse, it's sick. I could never bring myself to watch the actual video, reading the description was enough for me. Hopefully they find him soon.
Apparently the police have requested that the video be taken down from the web sites where it was posted. A US site complied, but the Canadian site is refusing to do so. I'm absolutely disgusted with that decision! What possible justification could there be for leaving it up?
So very sad for the victim's family - the media coverage over there must be intense.
I'm glad my sister and BIL are back from Paris - just so they aren't on the same soil as that sick murderer.
In China there won't be any coverage on the victim's death, they are very secretive and quiet when publishing anything to do with the Western media and woulndn't want to reveal the victim's sexual orientation for fear it may bring shame to the family.... with a population of 2 billion, I'm sure they're focusing on something more newsworthy...... like the economy or nuclear weapons.
No, I read about this story on Xinhuanet.com. The Xinhau News Agency is the largest news agency in China and reports to the Communist party. They publish online in 6 languages, including English.
If interested, they have an extensive article on the killing here.
