That's really bad..when I was pregnant with DD1, I travelled a lot into London and one day I had problems getting out of the train when Simon Weston helped me down onto the platform and escorted me to the tube and made sure i got a seat...He's a real gentleman...

Gosh, what an awful day. I'm glad DH is doing better. Gelato can be replaced and bad days can be made better. (hugs)
Sorry to hear about the cat-callers too. They really annoy me. How is some random person yelling at you supposed to be a compliment? Even more annoying are the people in cars that honk or yell out the window and yell something that sounds like "arrrubhbhhhsghhhhhrrrwwwww". Why yes, I see your point. How insightful....
Cally, I will trade cat calls, honks, or random yellling for for your dog woofs any day. At least when dogs are barking at you, they're being sincere. That and the guys doing it have a real fear of rejection if they're speeding away at 90 km/hr. You don't want anyone like that. Hey....aren't you taken!??!

Ugg. Sometimes I hate this city. TTC is a joke and with Tub Ford on the problem I'm certain it will just get worse (but we wont get into that). And the neighbours who wouldn't open the door!? On the one hand.... that's horrible... but on the other
When My husband and I first moved in to our apartment building I was about 7 months pregnant with my son. I heard SCREAMING in the hallway "help, help im dying" etc. I looked through the peep hole and saw a blood soaked wall so I quickly opened the door to a man laying there bleeding to death. I grabbed the phone to call 911 while my husband tried to help him (without actually touching him). My husband tossed him something to tie off his arm and a cloth. He begged him to hold the wound over his head etc. The man became really agressive and tried to attack my husband and my superintendant who heard the commotion. He started trying to kick in other apartment doors. I ran outside to be safe. When that 911 operators asked me to go up to the man and further asses him i said there was not a chance in hell. The guy ended up pulling the fire alarm forcing the whole building downstairs (we lived on the main floor at the time) to watch the madness. Ambulances, police, fire etc showed up and he was taken away. My whole building was watching this... but we were the only ones in our hall to even open the door. Not one other person on our floor even looked to see what was happening. In hindsight.... i wouldn't have opened the door. I would however have at least called 911. The guy didn't make it.
Sorry for highjacking, but thought i'd give some perspective as to why they may not have answered. Glad your husband is okay though. Horrible! They should have at least called. Toronto kindness eh? So sad.RRLF: Almond breeze, gluten free products
