The library book/brick effort would be great for a low wall near seating or a nook where you can relax. It would not have occurred to me to make the bricks look like book spines at all!
Strawberry photos-oh, berries! I like the idea of strawberry pots immensely as growing the berry plants in the garden seems unlikely. Besides, I can move pots more easily as the stacking tiers make that possible.
I'll spring for spray paint to change the gray metal rectangular planter colour to a dark red or maybe a medium brown so that the herb planter will "blend in" with the dark brown ceramic planter Mom has on a front step.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Ooooooh, those strawberries look divine. I put in 150 plants last year and they were doing great, can't wait for the snow to melt to see how they made out this winter and I can't wait to harvest them this June. I put in 30 ever bearing as well so should have some for grazing as I work in the garden. Glad I found this thread.

I'm in the process of ordering seeds and setting up a DYI grow light stand to start tomatoes, peppers and petunias as well as several other veggies and flowers so I can save a bit of money instead of buying the plants. We have 2 1/2 acres and about 1/2 acre is our garden with space for vegetables, herbs and a flower cutting garden. The acre around the house is landscaped with mixed shrubs and perennial borders, I am biting at the bit to get outside but the darn snow wont quit. I'm hoping the grow stand will keep me happy (I mean dirt under my nails) for a while.

Do it yourself:
1. To make a tower on a smaller scale, fill a 16-inch clay pot halfway with pebbles or pot shards. Inside the pot, position a 34-inch-high cylinder of welded wire mesh purchased from a hardware or building-supply store. This is your framework.
2. Working in tiers, line the inside of the cylinder with moist sphagnum moss, fill with potting soil, and poke in plants from the outside. Repeat the process until you reach the cylinder’s top.
3. Lightweight edibles that work well (because of their small root system) include arugula, leaf lettuces, radishes, and strawberries.JOIN NOW WIN BIG in the Survivor Pool starting in the Spring
