tulips are late this year usually they are fully in bloom , haven't seen any lilac yet....but it's normal
I bought a white azalea from WM last year at the end of the season and it's blooming for the first time. This is just a picture from Google images but this is exactly what it looks like.

Oh, it must be lovely, Jays - is it a bush?
The only kind of azaleas I have seen are the plants in pots you get at flower shops - and they are beautiful.
One day it will be a bush, Natalka. For now, though, it's basically four sticks growing from a slightly bigger stick. Only one of the branches brought flowers for me. The other three just have leaves on them. Maybe next year I'll have a few more flowers :) It smells delightful though.
Mom's double peonies (white) are falling off due to the winds. They only opened up on Thursday and I had the presence of mind to take photos on Monday while they were intact. I took photos of the tulips before last week, so I have proof the new bulbs did turn out splendid during their first bloom/show!
Had a couple of spider scares yesterday. Picking up trash can, I saw a big spider (seems to be a flat gray coloured nursery spider without markings) inside. I tap the can to get it out. Am foreseeing no more barefoot days in backyard without shoes at hand-that spidey was huge to my eyes. Then after midnight, I was peering into bathroom mirror and one eye discerns movement-I move back and there's a dandy longlegs coming down the mirror. Had to get rid of it-I was spooked. Otherwise I would have taken time to escort it outside but not at that hour.
I can be ok around smaller spiders. I did read Charlotte's Web as a girl and think of the book when I see wee spiders.
There's another "grab the shoe" insect that dwells in the basement-its quick movement always raises my adrenaline.
My iris flowers finally bloomed this weekend. Our large tree in the front yard must be blocking the sunlight because the flower stem grew 3 times taller than the leaves so they look rather goofy, but still pretty blooms. Still waiting on my day lilies, they have lots of green but I'm not seeing many flower beds forming.
Spotting ripe or almost ripe mulberries on trees on my walk today. Also passed a ripe mulberry tree downtown this week. I need longer arms and splatter proof togs to gather those yummy but quick to turn berries. Gobble, gobble.
My Japanese flowering quince is on its last legs. The leaves are curling and drying up. No idea what happened to it, the leaves came out beautifully in the spring, not too many flowers though. Not devastated though because I hated the suckers that continually sprouted around it. Now to decide what to replace it with....... after I dig the sucker up. Not looking forward to that.
Rose of Sharon isn't doing too well either. It's fairly large, I have cut it back through the years though. Every year for the past three or four years I lose one section of it. It's about half gone now. It's much bigger than the quince, it should be oodles of fun to dig up. So much planted around it though. I wonder if I just let it die completely and plant a clematis or some other vine at the base of it......? Hmmmm.... I saw a wonderful honeysuckle at the Superstore today...

So I dug that sucker out yesterday and I'm paying for it today. So sore. But it's gone and replaced with one of these:

A rash decision. But it is so pretty. I have pruners, I can keep it small..... ish. Also, I put in another hosta and a heuchera beside it, I can't remember the exact variety but it is something like this:
