Same here. I watered and fertilized them and they would start to curl and look withered so I chopped them!

    Tweety,
Your tomato plant is humungous...looks like it's ready to swallow that bee balm! I have phlox envy...can't grow the showy nice ones here.

    muggos,
If you like lemon-scented herbs, you should try growing lemon verbena...the smell is divine!

I'm a rebel in this bloom thread...posting a picture of some Evans cherries that are ready to go...I'll make a pie or two and then let the birds have the rest. They don't keep very well after picking and I've frozen some before only to toss them a few months later. They are sour cherries but if left until really ripe, you can eat them fresh (not like sweet cherries though).

Those look great! Could you maybe make a compote then freeze that?

    Thanks muggos,
I've never made a compote before...made some jam though. Only the pie is a hit with the family. Seems a bit of a waste, but I don't have any neighbours I'm friendly enough with to give them the bounty (I used to have the most fabulous neighbours on both sides!).

this is what bloomed this morning on my deck! So proud of myself!! I have never planted bulbs before (let alone in a container garden) and it turned out so pretty. There are about six more blooms to come and a whole other plant that will have red and white flowers (I think). Name: IMG_3292.jpg
Views: 235
Size: 28.9 KB So sorry about the large pic, I am still learning how to make them smaller.
