Miss Mystery the amaryllis has about two inches of height (green tips). Tulips and daffodils (their leaves) are going hot to trot to reach for some height. Lots of Siberian squill spreading out on the lawn plus a random tulip leaf poking up outside the front flowerbed. There's one other clump of flowering something on the move-to be determined.

I looked in the back yard after that dusting of snow we got last night. I'm pretty sure I saw tiny shovels. My plants are trying to dig themselves back into the ground.

The weather has been so incredibly hot around here, and the forecast is to stay well above freezing, so I planted flowers last weekend and again today. So I have more than just tulips blooming but lots of other things too.
I planted a border of creeping phlox along the backyard flowerbed. Looks so pretty in front of the tulips.
Have some geraniums, carnations, portulacas and impatiens in the front flowerbed. I don't usually have so much colour this early in the season.

dandelions and lily of the valley (creeping from the neighbor's yard) both of which are invasive and highly annoying

Wow what a nasty late sprinG storm. Had to bring in the few potted plants I had and the remaining flowers waiting to go in the ground. One day bbqing the next snow. I had one jalapeño in the raised bed don't think it'll make it. Wed. everything is is being planted. My yard had gout weed everywhere and I've been fighting it for 10 years. My neighbor has gout weed that creeps too. Hate that stuff.

My neighbor decided a few years ago to plant lily of the valley and it's creeping into my garden. I consider that to be a very invasive weed too.

Wow the pepper made it! Here's what's blooming today.
The most serious gardening I do would seem very strange to an onlooker, for it involves hours of walking round in circles, apparently doing nothing." --Helen Dillon

Got a couple of new hostas. This one is called Island Breeze. What you can't see in this particular picture is that he has red legs. So cute!
This one is called Guardian Angel.
Seems that hostas are one of the few plants that can survive our winters here. Even my Rose of Sharon is slowly dying, a little bit every year. Good thing I love hostas.

Hello all!!!!
Well after a stinking tough winter I had some major damage in my garden. I lost 3 mature conifers and now have to replant one side of my front. I am not surprised since the front of the house takes the full head winds. They just seemed to shrivel and dry up.
Gojays I love that Island Breeze hosta just stunning.
I am still in planting mode. We had terrible weather 2 Saturdays ago. 2 degrees and windchill. I lost a few flowers but I hadn't planted any veggies so I am all good there. Will post pics soon.
Also I I found a new nursery and could kick myself for not finding it sooner. Gojays you will not believe what I paid for my Dragon Wing begonias
last year I thought I was getting a good deal at $3 tax included well this place sells them for .........$2 for a box of 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mwuahahahaha
You can imagine how many I bought :p ok 8 boxes .
All her ornamental flowers are $5 instead of $15 at other places. I got Elephant ears, grasses, cannas all in 1 gallon pots!!! I am stoked. This year is cost me half of what it did last year.

It would almost be worth it for me to make the trip out there, however, trying to convince DH to take me to a garden centre in Montreal would be quite troublesome. Good job, Patty Gotta love a garden bargain!
