We had a warning in our paper about not handling the white caterpillars with a little black spot that are appearing. I don't remember all the details but touching them would sting or cause a rash.

Really enjoyed the different coloured maple leaves carpeting different sidewalks yesterday-felt like autumn royalty!
@avoncallingu -seems that in Sept and early Oct, I kept seeing the fuzzy white spiked caterpillars with the dk brown or black spines exclusively. Thought the yard was under attack or something.
Chrysanthemums (long stemmed pink ones mostly) are still in bloom. Admired one resident's bushels of smaller head chrysanthemums (and the shorter stems) in their front yard display. Another resident has a collection of unadorned squashes on their landscaping rocks for fall/Halloween decor.
On my walk home in relative darkness from Walmart/McDs, I was spooked by movement on a driveway wall. Found out at least two little white goblin decorations made with sheets had moved in the wind-thought it was a creature.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Lots of people know how to make money, but are not gifted in the art of preserving it. Smart Canuckers are different, HAPPY HUNTING!

^MacGyver rep for @GoJays ! I prefer softer materials for staking plants. But everyone wants to be as clever and handy as MacGyver.
