Hey Londoners,
Just wondering which Food Basics are usually good for finding tearpads??
I don't want to rant again, but I have gone to about 5 different Metros over the past week or so and again only EMPTY tear pads... :rant:
I'm starting to think we have crazy coupon hoarders... Again let's remember our tear pad etiquette!!!!! Take only what you will use!!!!!!!
I haven't even been to metro because the last time coupons came out they were gone in a day. I have in the past found coupons at food basics on wonderland and commissioners and I know people find some at Bradley and Ernest.
I only saw empty tear pads at freshco last week too :(
I give up finding coupons in london, since we travel a lot to near kingston/peterborough to visit my MIL I have been very lucky over the past month to find most of the new tear pads --- so sad I have to go so far away to find coupons :(
BTW off topic not sure if anyone knows the answer to this but I heard on another forum about some door hangers that were sent out last week (NOT the pickles/relish) but i don't know what they are and I tried asking on that forum and everyone is so HUSH HUSH :( I think it was Ivory snow and others but not 100% sure -- any info would be awesome thx :)
i have NEVER gotten a door hanger. id love ivory snow. someone also posted about rice door hangers.
heh ladies.. i too have given up on 'coupon shopping' im only after the bare minimum ones' now after switching our diets over and really not looking for them anymore. if I happen to come upon any by chance i'll let you all know.

Ok so I'm going to put this out there -- I would LOVE to have some sort of coupon get together soon --- is there any plans of a coupon swap in the near furture :)
TWO! holy crap dani.. ya gotta keep him from getting older.. basically the bare minimums for us are now cereal, cheese, tide, manual toothbrushes/toothpaste... tresemme(normal). no more stockpiling for us.
Tear pads, I remember from last year that June-July-aug it is a hard time to find coupons, this months in May..... FB, Pharma even SDM has not posted tear pads. I was today morning at FB Bradley and no signals of new tear pads, I went to drop my envies to PP and the same "No tear pads"

If I have extras I will share(not that I get door hangers often). I think the hoarding has been caused by sharing coupon location. Not to sound harsh but I think we should share with our "close friends" shall I say and not necessarily our neighbours. Not that we don't like to share but it's getting out of hand. I find myself saving a little less lately not being able to find what I need or having to trade far, far away for things I know exist in my own city!
I couldn't believe it, today at NF at huron/highbury, I found a tearpad! I've been shopping there for almost 10 years, and have never seen one before. I only grabbed 2 coupons, there were 3 tear pads, so I'd hope there would still be some.
It was for $1 off any 4 campbells soups.
I was looking though some of the brags today .....How depressing to see so many people bragging about how many of one product the bought with um-teen amounts of coupons! That's why we can't find one coupon they are getting enough for the neighbours,family and friends. Really 50-60 cans of minute maid coupons in one shop I would be happy to have a weeks worth? Sicking that so many people think that it's great to brag about using their 60 coupons in one shop? When single parents,Seniors people who need a break at the till can't even get one coupon to help!
All I have to say to the hoards of tear pads is......It's nothing to be proud of!!!!!!!
It is has been so many weeks since I have seen a tearpad coupon (other than Coupon Zone) that I can't even remember the last one.
I went to the Food Basics on Commissioners and Wonderland, they seem to have a surprising amount of tearpads.
I went to Foodland in Glencoe, and they had really good coupons there. They have Dr. Oetker coupons. Buy 2 get 1 free any shirriff cooked pudding pie filling mix. Whiskas Cat coupons, and Kraft Pasta Salad coupons.
I've come to realize that with the current demand because more folks are into couponing now, it's really a game of timing and luck. I found some tear pads at my local Metro for the first time in months, less than a week ago. I was back there today to get the 99c pop and every single pad was empty. When I left, there were almost full pads in each.
I can almost understand people taking a full pad out of self-defense. It's so rare to find anything, that it's tempting to grab a ton because you know it will be your only opportunity. I was at the SDM on Commissioners near Highbury and the cashier had a stack of coupons near her checkout. I asked about them and she said they keep them because people take full pads of stuff. So that's what it's come to. Either great luck, nothing or getting them rationed out by a cashier.

Three weeks ago FB at Ernest was keeping the Dr Pepper coupons at the cashier too , I didn't ask because I found those in Freshco.Quote:

I've rarely found a tearpad since last year when I started looking, and never in a grocery store. Just Shopper's. I don't even look anymore :(
On another note, I'm in White Oaks and I had a door hanger this past Thursday, it was for Fructis, shampoo and conditioner. Haven't had one in a while, but I noticed someone had asked :)
I went to FreshCo to get Chocolate Milk yesterday & I found Bertolli Tearpads & booklets , there were many left of them.

I remember the days when there were tons on the shelves....oh the good old days before extreme couponing hit TLC
I start to couponing year ago, after 2 years to discover smartcanucks... before that I never pay attention to coupons, Now, even when you pay attention to coupons, there aren't lots in the shelves like the gold days like you said.Quote:

Found bertolli olive oil at that freshco and then saw it at food basics commissioners and deveron today. I didn't take any because I took one at a Sobey's out of town last week. That olive oil is on for 5.99/1L at FB this week.
I found some of this at FreshCo comissioners at Wellington in June 18, but When I back yesterday the Tearpads were empty. lucky me I took some of them before.Quote:
