I've seen only 2 birds this winter, both times in the branches of a tree, singing on a sunny day while I was walking downtown to do errands. That's unusual, because my back yard trees (spruce, elm and maple) have a variety of birds living there and some of them over-winter, so I don't know why I haven't seen or heard them out there this winter.

Saw my first pair of Cardinals yesterday, they were a sight to behold.
Have attracted a flock(15-18) of mourning doves in the backyard.
Perhaps spring is on its way.

Canada Geese and a Raccoon (although a raccoon is not a bird).
Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Hummingbird as a pet
This guy found this baby hummingbird after it was attacked by a cat, and he nursed it
back to health. It decided to stay and be his pet. Very charming video, and be sure to
have your sound on,"enjoy"

oh. Morning doves. I love those! Would love to see a few around here again. They always make me think of my dad who used to keep some as pets.
I can hear robins. Haven't seen 'em...but I can hear 'em. You'd think with all this snow they've be easy to spot. Poor robins in the snow.
And cardinals. Lots of cardinals around here. I like those too."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Yay! I saw my mystery robin this morning.
and then I saw a scraggly little chipmunk looking desperately for a place to hide from my over-ambitious chihuahua."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle
