SDM redemption - lots of fun!!!
Being on a budget lately, my fiance and I went to Shopper's and redeemed for things we really NEED, rather than wants. Redeemed 80,000 points for $200 (tax was about $14).
Got lots of cheese, eggs, bacon, toilet paper, Party Mix for cats, Friskies dry food, litter, International Delight creamer, lots of garbage and kitchen bags, diet soda, a few packages of Tassimo coffee discs, rubber gloves, etc.
We are going to a different Shopper's tomorrow to redeem another $200 for more Party mix, cheese, granola bars, Tassimo, pop, juice and so on.
I LOVE redemptions!!! Especially for things we definitely be using all the time. I do not accumulate many points anymore and most of these points were from ages ago. I used to redeem randomly for makeup or whatever and that was fun too, but I feel much better with getting things we will use. My past redemptions have been for a T.V., cameras, laptop, GPS and Tassimo coffee maker, which were all fantastic. If you go without a plan though, you end up getting lots of stuff you do not really need.
You cannot beat the Shopper's points rewards, unless, as in the past, I was buying a lot of things just to get the points (remember the thermometer???!!! lol). Recently, gave tons of toothpaste, shampoo, deodorants, etc. to a food bank, plus to lots of family and friends, including tons of gift baskets. However, I do not have much room in my condo and now just get what I need for here.
