I am looking for design, not sewing, tips. How would you design your own "ideal" coupon wallet? What features would you want it to have?

hmmmm? No suggestions?
Well....I am thinking maybe a 2 sided wallet. Long enough to fit the majority of coupons (especially the tear away ones). One side to have an accordion style fold out, so that I can open it up when I am in the store and easily thumb through to find what I need. Index cards can be inserted here to keep things organized. The otherside can maybe have a few pouches for rainchecks, receipts, etc. And some slots for store cards, like optimum points, HBC card and thunder bucks.
Maybe a matching grocery bag holder?
Any other ideas?I love the Swagbucks FREE Amazon gift cards: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/breylormom

It is done! Not perfect, but functional. I think I was too fancy on this one. The accordion pocket is great, but it was difficult to do. My friend wants one, but I think I will go a bit easy on myself with hers and just do a simple box-style, rather than a fan-fold-out-style. If I can figure out how to post pics on this site...I will post a picture. Off to go make my friend one now. :D

Me too! I've been toying with the idea of making my own but not entirely sure where to start (plus my sewing machine is on the fritz so that doesn't help)

This is my first time posting pics in this forum....let's see how I do. LOL.
Here is my new wallet. Not perfect, but functional.
As it lays open:
Showing the accordion-style coupon sections...one for stores (things I know I will buy at that particular store when I plan my trips), one for items (for those deals not in flyers, or so I don't forget something):
And a little pocket for me to put the coupons that I am immediately using. This way I can quickly pull them out at the checkout.
The other side has pockets for putting reward cards:
And other pockets for receipts, rainchecks, etc.
And that is my coupon wallet. I still have to make one for my friend...but I think I will do it square bottom style. The accordion style wasn't that much fun.Last edited by breylormom; Tue, Mar 20th, 2012 at 09:51 PM.
