I am lucky. I was diagnosed with severe DVT (deep vien thrombosis) and PE's (pulminary embolisms) on July 25, 2007. I had 4 emergency surgeries in 48hrs and 2 blood transfusions. I have endured two years of treatment and the doctors cannot explain why I have lived. I experienced nearly every complication the doctors talked about. I was given less than 1 in 1Million chance that I would live. The doctors do not know the long term effects of the medication I am on, but it is my only option.
I was treated by three different physiotherapy centres in Saskatchewan. The treatment in combination caused the bloodclots that I continue to suffer from. I have been in legal proceedings for 2yrs now. I am trying to get them to take responsibility and pay my medical bills which are $15,0000 a year when I am "stable."
Please pray for my health and the legal precedence that I am continuing to set. Medical practitioners should not be able to get away with making me (or anyone else) have a permanent disability and then wash their hands clean of it.

Not a lot of consolation when you're on the receiving end of ridicule, but you might remind her that the ones who behave that way do so because they are unhappy in their lives & are taking it out on her because they are jealous of what she has. If anything, they're the ones who need prayers for being so miserable they have to take it out on others.Quote:

For my 1 year old son who is going for a heart catheterization on Friday to find out why the pressures in his lungs have increased. We are hoping he just needs an increase in his meds and not another surgery/procedure. He has a cold right now so we're also hoping they won't have to postpone the cath because then it won't get done until probably November. I can't wait that long :(
