Mmmm... sweet marie bars. I love those!
I like to make these candy cane shaped cookies that are almond and peppermint flavoured that I learnt how to make in grade 2.

I will make sugar cookies with the girls and probubly a couple of pies for dinner, not that I am going to eat any of it. It will be hard, but I have the self control, I think.
we usually make pumpkin pie or cheesecake for after lunch on christmas and make all of the other treats for other days close to christmas
Went to the value village half price sale on Monday, stocked up on some nice tins... Giving baking as gifts for Christmas this year, for the folks out this end anyway :P Got there a half hour after they opened, so of course all the cookie cutters and fancy pans were gone :? Do have a few nice cutters to use though!
My special fudge. Rum, chocolate mint, rocky road, maple.....

I make very large batches of it at Christmas and have plenty ready to give out as gifts.
Fudge is poured into a small foil container (like the ones they use in fast food with the lid). I label them with a festive sticky, and when it is time for gift giving I wrap it in a tea towel and bow, and voilą, a gift. Good for emergency gifts, and those "Why not" gifts.
Not unusual to have a dozen ready to go...and they do go.
Thinking sweet stuff...now I want some shortbread.
Bought a star and a gingerbread man cookie cutter and will make shortbread cookies and maybe banana bread.
I want shortbread. That's it.......I'm making some tonight. Be back, gotta take the butter out of the fridge.
I tend to make an assortment of cookies. Oh, and chocolate peanut butter balls. yummy!
