I went to M&M this morning to use one of the $5 vouchers I got from the Canadian Tire scratch card promo. I bought a cheesecake for $6.99, and paid the $1.99 after using the voucher. I know a number of SC'ers said on these forums that they were able to use more than 1 voucher, but in separate transactions. Well, this cashier wouldn't let me. No prob, I just headed to another store near my house.
Well I get to the next store, and I wanted to buy frozen yogurt which was on sale 2 tubs for $5. So it should be free right? Nooooo, this store's cashier told me I had to spend more because the coupon wouldn't work. Never heard of that one. I even read of others here saying they got the ice cream for free with the voucher. Ok... so I said I'd buy the lemon blueberry tart which was on sale for $5.99. Nope, he said the voucher still wouldn't go through because it's not enough and I'd have to spend more. I looked at the coupon and read the fine print. No minimum spend required.
So I asked, what is the minimum I'd need to spend to use this? He said 'oh, I think it's $6.75.' I laughed and told him other stores were accepting them and left the store.
Oh well. The voucher expires today so I'll just go back to the 1st store and have my husband use it tonight. But seriously, how annoying is that!?
