Thread: Complaints re: Recieving Trades

Hi guys,
Just out of curiosity, any of you ever get a complaint back from someone who received your trade who said that they received your trade late (when there IS no time frame), said they were disappointed you never acknowledged you received the trade they sent you, when you just forgot and then capped it off by complaining they only have TWO weeks to find a sale? To be perfectly frank, I'm pretty annoyed.
Anyone ever had to deal with that and what did you do? Personally,. I'm always happy people sent it to me with enough time for me to actually use them...after all, I recently went through one where I didn't see it for over a month and a half because my neighbor got it twice...I'm not about to give the person who sent it grief over that...the important thing is that I received it.

Some thoughts....
What do you mean by "no time frame" ? (I mail my trades the next day and expect traders to let me know if they can't do the same.YMMV)
How late is late ?
Did the trader not know the expiry dates of the coupons when trading ?
Now traders not letting you know they got your envie... that would bug me... I'm not a mind reader but I am a worry wartBut a pm to let them know I'm worried usually gets me the answer I need.
Friends don't let friends trade at max value

I'm curious to know what you mean by "no time frame".
Most of us will say: Mailing tomorrow or Can drop in the mail on Wednesday. Whatever it is, the other trader usually gets some sort of idea as to a timeline.
I'm with Tbites, how late were you on the mailling? Maybe that is why the trader is frusturated with the amount of time left for finding a sale.

I agree with Tbites & pumpkin9211, it's common courtesy to let the person you are trading with know 1) when you are planning on mailing (normally it's the next day - unless there is a reason you cannot 2) I always send an email after I've actually mailed (not necessary, however, it makes me feel better),
3) I always let them know for example that if they are out west it normally takes 1 week for them to receive mail from where I live and 4) I leave itrader as soon as I receive their envy this way they know I have rec'd the trade. I would be upset if an envy this not arrive within a reasonable period of time...max 2 weeks is alot in my opinion2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

I have been lucky in trades so far. Only once was a trade really late ie./over a month and I had to "friendly remind" a couple of times. I was a little frustrated but took some responsibility as well as we didn't define our terms. Now I just make sure we both know what we are trading , including bar code numbers if requested. That being said I did inadvertently screw up a trade but quickly remedied that when contacted. It's a learning process for sure.
