Bouncy chair. DS would stay in it while we were having dinner or I would so the chores or cooking and he could see me close by.
Babybjorn carrier. DS hated the stroller and always wanted to be held. I went everywhere with it, even when we flew to Asia. I liked the fact that my hands were free and didn't have a bulky stroller.

hmm, baby stuff you can't live without....With DS1 we thought we needed everything. DS2, hardly anything but some cloth diapers and the fisher-price rain forest swing that DS1 hated. Also a mei-ti wrap.

We are going to try to get by with as little baby gear as possible as we don't have a big place.
So far, I looove my snoogle pillow for sleeping while pregnant.
I also know from friends that I NEED a bumbo chair - those things are awesome
I also wouldn't mind finding some kind of baby musical toys and play things that don't have overly annoying music. I have sensitive hearing and tend to be driven insane by the noises made by some of the toys and activity centres that my friends have for their kids.

Yes, I don't like the irritating music on baby toys either.. I always pull the batteries out of toys except for the few that have reasonable noise levels simply because life is stressful enough without old mcdonald had a farm screeching in the background!
I've set up 3 trains.Still loading. If you are interested, links are on my userpage.
No, this isn't your coffee, I had a two for one coupon!

DD loved her jumperoo, was one of the only things that kept her calm. She loved bouncing.
DS always had to have his "womb bear" to fall asleep to.
Those are the 2 must have's for us (up to about 1 year). We have lots of well loved products but not many were must haves.
