Sorry I haven't put any input up until now, I've been super sick the past 2 days. I had to ask my mom to call in sick to work and come watch the kids since DH is away. I haven't been able to sit up until now.
I love the idea of having 2 trains! Gives variety and everyone should be happy.
I totally understand if someone asked for the Christmas in July theme before me, so I can wait and revamp my train and do the next one (as long as I'm able with DH's schedule, I can't say until the actual date arrives).
As for train idea's, I really loved the Book Exchange I hosted back in the day. Got some fantastic books, I otherwise never would have read! Or perhaps a hobby train (people can list someone their hobbies and buddies can send something that goes with one of the hobbies).
I'll think of some more idea's when I'm feeling better, right now I need to go lay down again.

Something has just come up for me and Im not sure I would be able to put the time into running a train sooooooo...Last edited by Jezebel; Sun, Jun 17th, 2012 at 06:17 PM. Reason: repped you :)

So some train ideas I've come up with are , of course they're still a work in progress though! free feel to add to them if you like:
-Book Exchange (I just love this idea. lol)
-Your favourite (the SENDER sends their buddy some of the most favourite items that they wouldn't want to do without)
-Stockpile Stash (send your buddy things from your stockpile or things that are popular for stockpiling)
-My favourite season (the sender sends the min. requirement plus ONE item from their favourite season with a note saying why it's their favourite season and perhaps why they chose the item they sent)
-Where I live (again in addition to the min. requirement each sender adds something from where they live. perhaps you live near a maple bush and have access to maple syrup, or you live in a crafty community that has craft sales. this can be fun and creative and also get you to know your own area. we could send a postcard along with the package)
-5 under 5 (5 items under 5 dollars -great for the $25 trains. wishlists must consist of items found under $5)
-Worst Gift Ever -(kind of a gag really but perhaps a lot of laughs, but in addition to the reg train, the sender adds in 1 gag gift. Something either they got and think it's the worst gift ever or something they saw in a store and thought wow, this is awful. lol)
-Guess the theme (each buddy researches the partner and picks one theme and then searches for gifts in that theme. perhaps they see that the person is starting to learn to sew [that's me - easy example] so they send them sewing supplies like some fabric, bobbins, thread, sewing patterns, etc. Or perhaps they know their buddy is a movie buff and sends them some dvd's, specialty popcorn, movie pass, etc.)
-Pimp My Office (or whatever room is chosen. Pretty straightforward, buddy's can write a little blurb about themselves and then the sender can try and find cool things to spruce up their room)
-Package Mix up (each rider makes up a package with no one in mind, just a great package. then when the set date arrives each rider is given a number for their package. much like a white elephant exchange, riders can pick what package they want based on either pictures or a couple clues (not who is the sender of course). It would have to be a smaller train to work though. Then when all the numbers have been picked, conductor will keep track of who picked what number and will send out the info of who you send to)
Whew, I'm tired now. lol. That's all I can think of. Hopefully someone likes at least one idea. lol. HTH
