I don't often post brags, but today I really lucked out at No Frills.
They were clearing out whole, fresh chickens for $2.97 each. Since I just happened to have 6 x $1.50 off coupons with me, my freezer is now home to 6 birds, all ready for the barbecue spit this summer.
I love it when I can save money on meat!
I don't know if these were the same birds as the ones you bought, but my NF had whole grain fed chickens on sale for $2.00ea. There was a freezer full and everyone was grabbing them. I managed to get 8. The expiry date was in four days, hence the reason for the sale. Regardless I just popped them in the freezer and now I have enough for the summer BBQ as well.
