DH gave me two potted plants of these daisies for Mother's Day, they grew and opened up in those. We transplanted them to on of those long box-shaped amber-colored railpots (is there a better name? LOL) that go on the deck. Fast forward to now, it seems like they stopped growing/thriving since we put them in there...we also planted more daisy seeds and forget me not seeds. Neither have grown. I didn't think either were out of season yet. Any ideas? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

and i stole this quote from another site... shhh, don't tell anyone...
Painted daisies will bloom in late spring or early summer... if you cut them back (dead head) they should rebloom in late summer. from personal experience i have found that they are really short lived perennials and need to be divided every 2-3 yrs to keep them re-juvenated and prevent them from dying off.

Did you loosen up the roots prior to planting? Sometimes if the plant is root bound, they just go round and round and don't branch out properly. Are you overwatering? If so, the roots might be rotting - they need to have air in order to grow. Also check to see whether your soil is too heavy, plants grow better in a light mix. Give your plants a shot of fertilizer higher in the middle number (P for phosphorus).
