Independent grocery store?

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this store out here in the west? Apparently there is one going in at 80th and 208th. I know they have President's Choice brand but that's all I know

There is one in Abbotsford. It used to be an Extra Foods.

I saw that sign the other day too. Never been to the one in Abby, but looking forward to another flyer to use for price matching!

I shop at the Independant in Abby all the time! I actually really enjoy shopping there. I believe they are independantly owned franchises of Loblaw's. (I'm not sure exactly how that works??)

I think they buy their meat from a different supplier, because I much prefer their meat over RCSS.

Most prices are comparable to RCSS, but the Independant is much smaller than RCSS, so obviously the prices reflect that to a certain point. (a few cents more expensive kind of thing)
They have some great sales, but my store tends to run out of things long before the flyer is over (however they do give out rainchecks)

Cashiers are mostly good at the one in Abby, I have never waited in line to get cashed out, there are always too many cashiers working, which is fabulous!

Can you PM there? No where close to me price matches, that I can think of right now anyways, and the Independent wont be as far for me to go as superstore or walmart so I hope it does!

I don't think they price match.
I tried to find any info online and didn't see anything about price matching, but they say the same as Superstore, they 'check their prices'

There is a pub going somewhere there too... but yes, weird spot to be. That's our catchment school but we left a couple of years ago, just in time for all the development. :D
