Feel a bit sad for J. Duggar's wife and kids-I'm assuming the extended family will assist in keeping their kin afloat, even if it might mean a move in with someone. As for J. Duggar, he got punished. His kids will likely enact their own punishment upon him when they are older.


Striking US workers at Kelloggs plants are being replaced by temporary workers to keep product lines moving. Some people on social media are calling for boycotts to protest the move.

Texas police respond to synagogue hostage situation

Police in the US state of Texas are negotiating with a man who appears to have taken hostages at a synagogue in the town of Colleyville.It is not known if he is armed or if anyone has been hurt.


The service was being streamed live when the incident started. The feed has since been taken down, but not before an angry man could be heard saying he didn't want anyone to be hurt.


Police have deployed special weapons teams to the scene.


It is unclear how many people are inside the building. Local residents are being evacuated.


The police department in Colleyville said in a tweet at 11:30 (16:30 GMT) that it was "conducting SWAT operations" at the address of the Congregation Beth Israel.

i think his offer has been accepted but i don't think ownership has actually changed hands yet.
the way tesla stocks are tanking maybe he'll change his mind.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Former reality TV star Josh Duggar has been sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison after being found guilty of downloading and possessing child ography.

Duggar was found guilty by a federal jury in December of 2021.

On Wednesday, May 25, he was sentenced to 151 months (12.5 years), on one count of receiving child ography.

It was recommended that he serve his time in either Seagoville, Texas, which has a sex offender treatment program, or a prison in Texarkana, Texas. That decision has not been made public at this time, officials say it will depend on which prison has open space.

The Duggar family was the focus of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" reality show for many years. The show was canceled in 2015 following allegations that Josh Duggar had molested five girls years earlier, including four of his sisters, according to the Associated Press.

Earlier this month, Duggar's defense team and a slew of community and family members asked the judge for leniency in his sentencing, ultimately asking for five years. His defense team submitted documents to the judge and multiple letters from people within the community giving him a recommendation of character.

In May 2021, a federal Homeland Security agent testified that the ographic images depicting the sexual abuse of children, including toddlers, had been downloaded the previous year on a computer at a car dealership that Duggar owned.


Receiving child ography is punishable by five to 20 years in prison. Possession of child ography depicting prepubescent children has a maximum penalty of 20 years of imprisonment.
