Logs can be burned fairly efficiently in an airtight unit, but that fire looks like a gas one.

My mother was swindled by a character like this. I miss her dearly. We all tried hard to warn her, but he was a master manipulator. We lost in the end and he got everything.

So it is officially a death watch. Legacy? World's most famous crackhead. Too bad it took death for him to clean up his act.

Boaty McBoatface leads public poll to name new research vessel

The official name of a new multi-million pound research vessel could be the RRS Boaty McBoatface after the internet was asked for its ideas.
When the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) opened up suggestions to name their new ship, little could they have predicted what the frontrunner would be.
Steaming ahead of its rivals, RRS Boaty McBoatface is outstripping the likes of Endeavour, Henry Worsley, David Attenborough, Falcon and many more offerings.

Some other tongue-in-cheek submissions include It’s bloody cold here, Usain Bolt, Ice Ice Baby and Notthetitanic.
The £200 million polar research vessel, which will be operational in 2019, is set to sail the waters of Antarctica and the Arctic carrying a team of 90 scientists and support staff.
In a statement NERC said: “Tonne-for-tonne, the ship - together with NERC's existing two blue water research ships - will provide the UK with the most advanced floating research fleet in the world and will help put the UK at the forefront of ocean research for years to come.”

Israeli boycott stickers spotted in stores across Canada

Stickers calling for the boycott of Israeli products have been spotted in stores across Canada.
The bright orange labels have been seen on products made by Israeli companies Sodastream and Keter, and on packaged goods and produce sourced in the country.
They read: “Warning! Do not buy this product. Made in Israel: A country violating international law, the 4th Geneva Convention, and fundamental human rights…#BDS.”
They form part of a campaign by Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East – or CJPME - following the Canadian Government’s vote to condemn Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel.
Speaking about the campaign, Thomas Woodley, president of CJPME, said: “The BDS sticky note campaign has been more successful than we could have imagined. We exhausted our original stock in less than one week, and have had to continuously order more sticky notes to meet the demand.

If I saw one of those stickers I'd be more likely to buy the product. And I'll bet there are more people like me than people who would boycott who were actually planning to buy it in the first place. 'What am I boycotting? Oh, that thing over there I wasn't going to buy anyway. ' Yeah, okay. Meanwhile I just decided to try something new.
