The White House just banned CNN and a few others ( The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Politico) from the press Conference, some others ( Associated Press, Time Magazine ) boycotted the meeting in support of those that were banned.
This is how Trump is hoping he'll get favourable coverage of his Presidency in the news??

The White House Correspondents Association is protesting the ban.

Srinivas Kuchibhotla died shortly after Wednesday's attack at a bar in Olathe, Kansas. His friend Alok Madasani, also from India, and an American were hurt.
Adam Purinton has been charged with premeditated first-degree murder.
The killing dominated news bulletins in India and social media, where some blamed Donald Trump's presidency.

The FBI is now investigating possible motives for the crime at Austins Bar and Grill, with race among them. A bystander told the Kansas City Star that just before opening fire the gunman shouted: "Get out of my country."
A barman also told local media that the attacker used racial slurs before opening fire on Wednesday night.
The suspect allegedly fled on foot and was arrested five hours later at a restaurant just over the state border, 80 miles (130km) away in Clinton, Missouri.
Mr Kuchibhotla was from the Indian city of Hyderabad. His parents, Madhusudhan Rao and Vardhini Rao, were too stunned by news of his death to comment, the Associated Press reported.
Mr Madasani's father, Jaganmohan Reddy, called it a hate crime, saying that such incidents had increased in number following the election of Donald Trump.

Sooo... the guy arrested for the bomb threats against Muslims at Concordia has been arrested but he's not charged with a hate crime? I mean, he claimed to be part of a consevative white supremacist group and was targeting muslims, right? Surely that's deserving of a hate crime charge. But no, he's Lebanese, trying to slander conservatives. That's not a hate crime.

The funny thing is, when the story of the threats first hit the news my daughter commented on it to me. I told her it was probably someone on the left trying to make the right look bad. And I was right. Same as that black church that a Hillary supporter set on fire after painting 'vote Trump' on it before the US election.

The non-loony left should condemn these things, instead they pretend it didn't happen or say the criminals 'hearts were in the right place'. It's really sad.

Some Canadians are asking why police seem slow to label recent offensive acts targeting Jews and Muslims as “hate crimes,” but one expert explains that the issue is complicated because there is no definition of a "hate crime" in the Criminal Code.

Lawyer Mark Freiman, who served as Ontario’s deputy attorney general and once prosecuted a case against Holocaust-denier Ernst Zundel, says that what many people refer to as “hate crimes” are cases where judges have taken a guilty person’s hateful motivations into account during sentencing.


The Criminal Code includes guidance that says sentences shall take into account evidence “that the offence was motivated by bias, prejudice or hate based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, or any other similar factor.”


While some people choose to call that a “hate crime” after the fact, “hate crime” is not an offence that police can charge a person with. A person accused of drawing swastikas may be charged with mischief, and then it’s up to the judge to decide whether to impose a longer sentence if she or he believes the crime of mischief was motived by hate.

Mass grave of babies and children found in Tuam care home in Ireland.

A mass grave containing the remains of babies and children has been discovered at a former Catholic care home in Ireland where it has been alleged up to 800 died, government-appointed investigators said on Friday.
Excavations at the site of the former Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway, have uncovered an underground structure divided into 20 chambers containing “significant quantities of human remains”, the judge-led mother and baby homes commission said.

The commission said analysis of selected remains revealed ages of the deceased ranged from 35 weeks to three years old. It found that the dead had been mostly buried in the 1950s, when the facility was one of more than a dozen in Ireland offering shelter to orphans, unmarried mothers and their children. The Tuam home closed in 1961.
The home, run by the Bon Secours Sisters, a Catholic religious order of nuns, received unmarried pregnant women to give birth. The women were separated from their children, who remained elsewhere in the home, raised by nuns, until they could be adopted.
