Sorry for the duplicate post but thought this would be worthy of a shopping brag for me. I *think* it's the first one I've ever posted....
Our good friends have asked me to shop for the pop for their wedding. I'll need to buy about 30+ cases. 14 down, 16 to go.
SDM Shop #1:
$50 GC
Total: $50
OOP: $49.50 (1% return on CC)
SDM points: 500
SDM Shop #2:
2 x Royale tissue $7.54 (-$2 coupon)
milk $4.29
12 x Nexxus $35.88 (-$35.88 coupon)
2 x LB lozenges $2 (clearance) - For sick DH. Bought one for insurance for myself.
6 x pop $19.98
2 x Nestea/Fruitopia $6.99
Before coupons: $76.68 + $8.96 tax
Total: $85.64
After coupons: $47.76
SDM points: 19,260
SDM Shop #3:
$40 GC
Total: $40
OOP: $39.60
SDM points: 500
SDM Shop #4:
paper towels $1.99
tissue $3.77 (-$1 coupon)
6 x pop $3.33
12 x Nexxus $35.88 (-$35.88 coupon)
milk $4.29
sunscreen $9.99 (-$5 coupon)
Before coupons: $75.90 + $9.31 tax
After coupons: $43.21
SDM points: 19,250
Grand total:
All drinks, tissue, kleenex for others
Real OOP: $25.56 (after reimbursements and CC rebate)
Total points: 39,410 (think that's $103.71 return on mega redemption)
And after all that, DH tells me he needs new batteries, which happen to be on sale at SDM. DOH!!!
WM:
2 x Resolve $2.00 (-$2 coupon)
12 x Nexxus $24 (-$36 coupon)
6 x Oasis $12 (-$0.75 coupon)
After coupons: $0.50
Tax: $2.34
Grand total: $2.75 (after CC rebate)This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug MartLast edited by sweet sparrow; Sun, Jul 1st, 2012 at 07:20 PM.

Can you please tell me what a CC rebate is? And also - where did you get $36 coupons for Nexxus?
These were spectacular shops!

I get a rebate when I use my credit card. Most cash back credit cards (PC Financial, SDM MasterCard, etc. will give you 1% return as a cash back or credit).
No, I don't have $36 Nexxus coupons. I wish! They were the $3 coupons, but I just used 12, which worked out to a total of $36 off.
It might have been a more spectacular shop had I known there were Pepsi coupons at No Frills, where I went not five minutes after leaving SDM. Noooooo!!!

My friends were thanking me and telling me how I'm such a big help buying all this pop for them. Oh no, anytime. Just let me know if you need anything else.... The only real issue is transporting it all an hour and a half away, which will cost in terms of gas (also on cash back - yay!). But, they were instrumental in our wedding, so we're honoured to do it!!
Now I wish the 18,500 points were today as well, and the 2 day sale was extended to a 3 day sale. Then we'd be seeing some real shopping! Oh, they've brought out the shopaholic in me....

I nearly forgot (as DH wouldn't let me cut up the boxes for transport) but I bought 3 Canada Dry's all with a $1.50 off coupon on the box, and 2 B1G1 movie admissions on the Fruitopia and Nestea.
The groom already said I could have them! Now to convince the venue I need the boxes back....
