Is five year apart too much for your kids?

I know Janet Gretsky has a 4year girl and I think an 18 year daughter? But yah, things good get pretty weird when the daughter gets mistaken to be her little sister's mother

We are hoping for a 2.5 - 3 year gap.

I have a brother who is 23 years older than me. It really doesn't matter.

I do not have a problem with age gaps, but I wanted my kids close and they are 22 months 5 minutes apart. My parents became grandparents to 5 in 6 years. My sisters kids are 3 under 5 and her oldest is only 8 months younger than my youngest. It seems to be something with our family, my sister and I are only 18 months apart. Yet my DH and his sister are 5 years. I find if they are closer then they have more in common, my SIL and DH do not have that much in common.

It totally depends on what you want.
I also wanted mine fairly close together. I figured 2 years was good. Little did I know so did my body. LOL
My first two are born on the exact same day two years apart.
My third is also two years younger then her sister. (two years four months)

It's pretty crazy sometimes but as the older two got older I've realized that it's a pretty good gap.
My brother and I are 14 mths apart and have always been close.
My youngest sister is 10 years younger and we are also close.

So in the end... it really doesn't matter. It depends on the relationship developed.

i totally agree! 2 years is a good age gap! They will still be able to talk and share simliar interests! and if they were girls, share same clothes too!

My two girls are two years apart too.
I can already hear the fighting over who's wearing what out.
    Should be some good times.
