Was a huge fan of Night Court!
Harry Anderson, ‘Night Court’ Actor Who Bottled Magic Onscreen and Off, Dies at 65
Harry Anderson, an actor who starred as the kindhearted, zany Judge Harry Stone on the long-running NBC comedy “Night Court,” was found dead early Monday at his home in Asheville, N.C. He was 65.
Mr. Anderson, who spent nine seasons presiding over a fictional Manhattan courtroom that played host to a steady stream of oddballs, was nominated for three consecutive Emmys, from 1985 to 1987.
While he earned critical acclaim and amassed a devoted fan base on “Night Court,” Mr. Anderson never fancied himself an actor. “I’m a magician, or a performer, by nature, and that’s always what I’ve been,”

Kevin Tierney
was an Irish-Canadian film producer from Montreal who co-wrote and produced the most popular Canadian film of all time at the domestic box office, Bon Cop, Bad Cop, for which he earned a 'Golden Reel' the Genie Award for Best Motion Picture in 2007. He is a former Vice-Chair of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and former Chair of the Board of Cinémathčque québécoise’s Board of Directors.[1][2] With characters trading lines in both English and French, Bon Cop, Bad Cop Tierney saw as a normal Canadian plot line about a Sűreté du Québec cop teaming up with a Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigator: “When I first heard the premise of this movie from Patrick Huard ... how the hell did we not already make this movie? It’s ridiculous.” Tierney returned to the language theme in 2011 by directing the movie French Immersion.[1][3] He was raised in Montreal, and graduated from its Concordia University and McGill University. He then taught ESL in Chad and China. Tierney learned Standard French at age 24 while teaching in Algeria.[1][4]
Tierney also produced other titles including Varian's War, One Dead Indian, Good Neighbours and Twist. In addition to the big screen, Tierney produced several television (mini)series, including Barnum, Bonanno: The Story of a Godfather, Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City and The Memoirs of Pierre Trudeau.[5][6]

Alan Bean, Moonwalker and artist dies aged 86
Former US astronaut Alan Bean, who was the fourth man to walk on the Moon, has died in Texas aged 86, his family has said.
In later life he became an accomplished artist, producing paintings that were inspired by space.
His family said he had fallen ill two weeks ago in Indiana and died peacefully at a hospital in Houston.
Astronaut Mike Massimino described Bean as "the most extraordinary person I ever met".
"He was a one-of-a-kind combination of technical achievement as an astronaut and artistic achievement as a painter," said Massimino, who flew on two space shuttle missions.

OMG!!! I just read about this!!
Famed American chef and author Anthony Bourdain is dead after taking his own life. He was 61.
CNN confirmed Bourdain’s death Friday morning.
“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” the network said in a statement. “His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller.”
“His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”
CNN said Bourdain was in France working on a story for his award-winning series Parts Unknown when he was found “unresponsive” in a hotel room Friday morning.
More to come.

Good morning!!!!!
Such happy and sad news to wake up to this morning!!
@walkonby , I'm shocked wrt Anthony Bourdain!! I never liked his show, he always seemed to be "posiing", but like Kate Spade, who knows what's in the hearts of people?? I imagine CNN will be paying tributes to him today....wow, that really was a shocker, Walks!
As for Ontario, yeppers, a new day dawns and I hope Ford can do what he's promised....evidently Wynne found out that money doesn't buy votes!
Have a wonderful, sunny day, everyone!!!
