On Sunday, I was driving my db home after supper and Canada Day parade, etc. There in the middle of the road lay a whole - naked chicken - and a meat tray not far away. I thought it was so hot that maybe someone was going to try cooking it on the asphalt.
So on the way home, I got the answer to how it got there. Go ahead - guess! This thread is currently associated with: GuessLast edited by avoncallingu; Fri, Jul 6th, 2012 at 02:38 AM.

They put it on the roof of the car, got sidetracked before they put it actually IN the car and drove off with the chicken on the roof.
Can`t tell you how many decent cups of coffee and coffee mugs have met their end that way on my DH`s truck.
Oh...and more recently, a set of his keys had the same end. He has too many set of keys because he tends to lose them (LOL). Anyway, he put them on the bumper of the truck (we think) and drove off. When the War Amps returned them to the mail a few months later, it was clear they had been driven over quite a lot and some were bent beyond use. I personally thought it was pretty awesome that someone took the trouble to stop their vehicle, pick them up and drop them in a post office box though.
Maybe you should try that with the chicken? *shrugs* LOL."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Was the chicken on bath salts and passed out naked after trying to eat itself?

Well, the mystery may have been revealed but it's 3:00 am and I didn't press the "Post" button - the laugh's on me!
Here we go - As I drove back - along the same road - approaching the chicken - a person of unidentified gender - wearing a helmet - swirved to the side of the road - parked his/her motorcycle and rushed out into the road to retrieve the chicken - pet found! (not really)- and then..... (I don't know - I had already driven past) Everyone had been very careful not to hit the poor thing - no visible bruises (but I know from watching CSI that bodies don't bruise much after death) - So here's what I think happened - the person had bungie-corded the poor thing to the back seat - driven home not noticing that it had "Boinged" off - Sproing - splat - thump! Then upon arriving home - panic set in! - Raced back retracing his/her steps (or wheel marks) and came upon the accident scene! I only hope when s/he got home s/he didn't tell his/her spouse, "Gravel rash??? What gravel rash? It'll be alright - just rinse it off - it's only your relatives coming for supper!"Last edited by avoncallingu; Fri, Jul 6th, 2012 at 03:09 AM.
