Well I sent them an email stating that I had another interested persona and they finally said they already found the item somewhere else.
Oh well, I guess that's the price of online selling.

Posted a few things on Kijijii 2 days ago
Laptop with bbroken screen - listed for 20.00 had multiple calls and offers withing minutes - someone came within the 3hrs and paid 60.00.
Receiver - listed for 100.00 ..someone offered 15.00WTF LOL...Someone came last night and paid 80.00.
Xbox 360 with Red Ring - 40.00
Old Ford Ranger- still had Safty. - was orginally going to list it for 1600.00 . . . .Hubby was taking a load to the dump before he listed it and an old tredmil went through the back window LOL....Listed it that night and still got 1100.00 with the broken window. Hubby said it's an easy/cheap fix if you get one used and do it yourself- he just wanted it gone.
( Truck was posted a few weeks ago and sold the same day posted)
I also have a love/hate relationship with kijiji. We have sold quite a few things including leftovers from our yard sale. No shows are the worst. I always assumed it is because we live in a lower income area so people don't come because of the neighborhood even though we are nothing like the people around us. It drives me nuts being stereotyped like that. Now I see many of you deal with no shows.
One tip, if you have items to sell, see if there is a facebook online yardsale group for your area. I find I sell things much quicker through my yardsale group than I do on kijiji ;)
I had my daughters snow suit for sale on kijiji. It's SUPER warm and I paid over $150 (I know I know) last year for it from Sears, asking $60. With all the snow we had in my area last year, the pants were worn once and the coat a few times. Someone offered me $20. Seriously?
I listed my old studded tires approx 1 hour ago. Within a few mins I had 2 responses. I did the first come with the email and gave him first shot, and he showed up and paid asking for the tires! This has been my best experience yet! I usually have items posted for a few days before a response, not a few minutes!
yeah kijiji- sold a fancy dress today that didnt fit me -lost weight-had it for a year never wore it -too big -for 20.00-was asking 23.00 but came down -i didnt mind cause it would have just hung in my closet
May have a sale for my old car as well! I posted to with a low price (have been trying to sell it for awhile now), and someone offered us $75 less than asking if they take it ASAP. I have been trying to sel it since September, so I accepted that offer. Now to hope that they will show up. IF not, I have 8 other responses, but I went with the highest offer in their email instead of the first email to arrive.
gotta love how cheap people are though. I post approx. where I am located so people have a general location, not just which city, had someone ask if I could meet them 40 minutes away for a $2 toy. I should have said sure but there is a $40 upfront delivery fee.
LOL MomGoneAwol! I can't believe the nerve of some people.
I just reposted more Stampin' up! stuff and had a response immediately from a woman who lives in Toronto but sent her son last week to pick stuff up. She's really nice and so easy to deal with. YAY! All these little $10 sales are helping fill DH's advent gift boxes which is a great help.
It's amazing how many people ask if you can deliver items. Items that like you said are $5 or less and you live really far away from them, makes me shake my head.
I had a couple call once about a camera I had for sale. We dickered on the price on the phone and agreed upon a price. They were a no show when time came to pick it up. They called the next day and said "sorry" and said they would come and get it. When they got here, they called from the lobby, she said I have your $$ I buzzed to let them into the building, at the door she had the nerve to say, oh, I had to drive here and it is costing me about $ for gas, so I'm deducting it from the price of the camera. ???? What, of coarse it was a no sale. When I said I don't think so, we agreed on a price already. She muttered to her dh then said FINE, in a rude tone. I looked at her and said that I actually didn't want to sell it to them, as like them, I just couldn't decide what I wanted to do, told them sorry but no sale and closed the door. Of coarse I sold it a few days later as it was a great deal, but I haven't put anything for sale after that. I was getting so sick of people being rude and trying to run the show.
Perhaps when I get home I will try again. I've purchased a lot of depression glass down here in Florida and Kijiji is a good place to sell it. I think I've forgiven people......for a bit anyways!
I would have done the same thing Holly. That is crazy that people thing they are doing you a favour buying your items. I swear some of these folks must be on drugs! I'd love to go to wal-mart with them and see if they would say the same thing at the cash register!
Some of these stories are crazy! I haven't had anyone ask to deliver (I did have someone ask to meet in a public area, which was fine with me) an item! I also haven't sold that many things on Kijiji until recently.
My old car is officially sold. I think I had 8 responses for it total today. The guy that bought it (I went with the highest offer in an email as I didn't want to deal with people coming to look at it, then making an offer when I had a guarantee offer) was going to crush it. I never knew that people make a couple hundred dollars from doing that. LOL. Apparently that is why I got so many responses, most of the people were just going to crush it and make more money!
^^^^ that's good to know cause I am going to be listing my 2003 Saturn Ion in the next few days. I hope I have as good of luck as you did :)
I need to sell a few hundred dollars worth of stuff in the next 2 weeks!! Eek! Wish me luck.... I am going to need it:(
Hopefully items of $50 and $30 will get picked up tomorrow:)
