They do. But only 1 person has been executed since 1977. If anyone deserves to be number 2, it's this guy.

I feel so badly for the 'alleged' shooter's family in San Diego, their home has been swarmed by reporters, etc. He went to high school there, then to Colorado for school.

my thoughts go out to everyone involved. i've been reading all the updates, it's terrible. one of the victims went to see the movie for his birthday (his twitter), hopefully he's okay. it's so weird to see the twitters/blogs of people involved.
